The sky is an endless portrait
Floating with several smaller pictures
Made of white cotton candy
The endless, lovely,

The sky is like a vast ocean
Where its rocking waters can both
Create and destroy
Where happiness and sadness come together as one
The destructive, yet amazing,

The sky is like a disco ball
The colorful lights wildly search for a place
To call…&#8221Home&#8221
The colorful, and unpredictable,

The sky is a place
A place to think and to get away
From all the drama and stress Of LIFE
Somewhere where imagination roams,
Where murals are hidden in the clouds of cotton candy
The creative, colorful, secretive,

The sky is a world
Where I can be ME
A place where I will NEVER have to be fake
A place full of welcoming and understanding
The amazing, wonderful,

Welcome to Lewis Gallery's Blue Sky Studio

We welcome artists of all abilities to join our Blue Sky program, celebrating art making and limitless creativity. We value inclusion and expression, focusing our attention on participation and exploration via art based projects designed to encourage a sense of achievement. For too long our upstairs Studio has inhibited artists with mobility issues, so we have created a NEW studio space, downstairs for access for all!

Art is an important tool for expression that connects us to our deepest thoughts and feelings about life, love and wellbeing. Further, when we gather together to share this process our opportunities for connection and understanding of others develops also.

At Blue Sky we believe in purposeful programming and have developed a workbook that journals the achievements made through the program.  The journal offers the artist a beautiful reflection of their journey and maps their feelings, thoughts and acknowledgments along the way. A journal such as this reminds us of how much has been achieved stamping purpose and recognition of self worth via our own efforts.

As mentors, we are excited to offer a program that is rich in fundamental art making skills and delivered in a friendly and supportive environment. We know making art is a very personal experience so we ensure each artist is given the safe and connected experience it takes to grow from art making. In a group setting, we can encourage social and emotional connection whilst our real world skill set grows.

Blue Sky Studio is happy to advocate and work with carers for NDIS planning to fund your artmaking activities. Our team is skilled and friendly, ready to work with carers to facilitate the most expansive experience for growth and creativity possible.
